Inspirations Pt 13

Here's another piece of inspiration for my World War One project and I should probably tell you before I show you I am a massive Blackadder fan. But my favourite season is definitely the fourth season which was set in the trenches of World War One and my all time favourite moment and one of the greatest endings to a television series of all time is the moment where Blackadder and his troops go over the top into No Man's Land. This scene just so utterly moves me because Blackadder being a comedy show has alot of silly things going but in this series even though there's alot of silliness it still has a really serious edge to it because it was a very real situation that the characters were in, they were in the trenches waiting to attack and being scared of the fact that they may die. And then there's the final moment where they go to engage the enemy in battle and all the silliness goes away and it becomes really sad. I'm sure for those of you who are Blackadder fans and those who aren't, this really is a trully magnificent ending and a real inspiration to me.

World War One Project- Day 2 and Inspirations Pt 12: The Somme

Hey guys this is day 2 of the project and again I have another selection of images from the internet which will help me with the design of my World War One project which shall focus on what I thought was the one of the most horrifying things of the first world war and that was the Somme.

Also I have some music here that I think of when I look at these images. And this is film music from Steven Spielberg's oscar winning film "Schindler's List" which was set at the beginning of the second world war in the concentration camps in Poland. So different but I can't help but think of these images when I hear this music so here is the beautiful and tragic theme to "Schindler's List" by the one and only John Williams with the violin solo played by Itzhark Perlman.

World War One Project- Day 1 and Inspirations Pt 11

Hey guys, been a while since I did another post and one that's to do with work. Well I'm glad to say I have here a collection of images from the internet from a new project I'm about to work on. And this one is for Virgin Media films not just for Ravensbourne. Some of you may know about the Virgin Media short films that they screen a selection of short films whether live action or animation to audiences in cinemas. And this year I'm going to be entering for one. What I'm going to make is a short film set in World War One. As you know from my very first blog that I wanted to make a World War One animated piece, and now I have the opportunity. What I will have for you all now is like I said images from the internet but images depicting World War One so I will use these for when I start designing which shall be right away as I this has to be handed in by June 17th, so need to get on it! But along the way I promise to show how it's progressing and the final film for sure. Here the dramatic images of World War One, and I shall get back to you soon on how it's developing.
